Get to Know the Mugello Circuit
Updated: Sep 12, 2020
Ahead of the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix, get to know F1's newest tracks in Italy.
Tuscany, Italy - The final leg of this current triple header is quite a special one as Formula 1 cars will hit the Mugello Circuit for the first time in history for official competition. Located in the beautiful rolling hills of Tuscany Italy, the Mugello Circuit has played host to Moto GP races and various other forms of motor sport throughout the years. Although F1 teams have done some testing and promotional runs around this circuit, it has never contested an official Formula 1 race. This factor will bring a lot of excitement into this race weekend as it will be a new and unique challenge for teams and their drivers. Although not the most overtake-friendly circuit, Mugello's high speed corners will make qualifying a site to see with drivers pulling maximum g-force through neck breaking corners like Turn 7 and 8. Now because Mugello is brand new to most F1 fans, we've created a simple but detailed circuit guide to Mugello where you will learn everything you need to know about this track. You will find good information on the track history, characteristics, what you can expect in terms of racing, a funny anecdote involving Kimi Raikkonen, and finally a hot lap of the circuit itself.
