Ferrari launch the 'SF1000' to kick off the 2020 season
Scuderia Ferrari debut their 2020 challenger at launch event in Italy
Teatro Romolo Valli in Reggio Emilia - Ferrari became the first F1 team to officially debut their 2020 car at an extravagant launch event in Italy. Fans had to patiently wait through speeches and performances before the 'SF1000' was officially revealed to the public. The new car was named the 'SF1000' because Ferrari will participate in its 1000th world championship race later this season. At first glance, the livery looks fairly similar to the 'SF90', which was the 2019 car.

Some obvious differences in terms of the livery include a change to the design of the driver numbers on the car and the addition of the Italian flag near the sidepods. It also seems as though the 2020 edition of the Ferrari is a little more red then last year's version. Ferrari seems to have retained many of their same sponsors from last year like; Phillip Morris International, Shell, UPS, and Ray-Ban.
Ferrari are hoping that the 'SF1000' will be the car to end their twelve year championship drought. Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto hinted at aggressive changes to the car's design in 2020, particularly to the rear of the car and the suspension. When speaking to the public on Ferrari's 2020 car, Sebastian Vettel said he likes the look of the 'SF1000' and the 'clever solutions' Ferrari have come up with to solve last year's problems. Vettel and Leclerc will not have to wait long to put the 'SF1000' to test. Winter testing will begin next week on February 19th in Barcelona, Spain.
