McLaren next to unveil 2020 launch date
F1 teams are becoming more and more creative as social media plays a larger part in each team's business model. It also helps that many of today's F1 drivers are quite young and handy when it comes to social media. McLaren has used this to their advantage with their wity and fun natured drivers, Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris. So fans had a good laugh earlier this week when it seemed that Lando Norris leaked the launch date in a team meeting with McLaren that was being livestreamed. Turns out it was all a clever prank on the fans and actually a creative way of announcing the launch date.
The MCL35 will make its debut on February 13th, 2020 at McLaren's home base in Woking. McLaren are coming off of their best season in the turbo hybrid era, finishing 4th in the constructors and also scoring a podium.
