An update on the status of the 2020 Formula 1 season
F1 journalist Chris Medland joins TBMF1Show to discuss the possible return of Formula 1 in 2020
Ottawa, Canada - It has been almost three months since we were hours away from the first practice session in Melbourne, Australia. Since then, we've had multiple races postponed and some even cancelled altogether for 2020. In a statement to the fans a few weeks ago, F1's Chase Carey released a proposed plan to get Formula 1 back to racing this year. As it stands, F1 is aiming to begin the season on July 5th in Austria at the Red Bull Ring. With no official confirmation on the start date, their is still a lot of fans anxiously awaiting some news on when Formula 1 will return.
So to help with all the questions, we wanted to get the expertise of one of the best journalists in the F1 paddock, Chris Medland. Chris recently joined us on TBMF1Show podcast to discuss the latest updates on the 2020 season. He provided some great insight as to when we will hear of an official start date and the challenges race organizers will face in conducting a race under these circumstances. Chris also broke down the financial impact of the shutdown on Formula 1 and its personnel. We also looked at the potential tracks that could host a race this season and some of the names might surprise you! As always, Chris was very informative and detailed which makes this an interesting podcast to listen too. Check out our podcast with him below and leave your thoughts in the comments below.
